The EcoTheatre Lab produces readings, theatre actions, plays, performances, and workshops that engage audiences in conversations about environmental and social justice issues.  The EcoTheatre Lab is committed to going beyond the simplistic expectations of art--that it functions only as entertainment and diversion, for instance--to explore and experiment with the power of art to communicate, educate, share essential ideas and information, and create community--and the vital role of artists as citizens, change agents, advocates, and contributors to the local ecology and economy.
